Seven Deadly Sins

The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, are a classification of vices that were originally used in early Christian teachings to educate and instruct followers concerning (immoral) fallen man's tendency to sin. The Roman Catholic Church divided sin into two principal categories: "venial", which are relatively minor, and could be forgiven through any sacrament of the Church, and the more severe "capital" or "mortal" sins, which, when committed, destroyed the life of grace, and created the threat of eternal damnation unless either absolved through the sacrament of confession, or otherwise forgiven through perfect contrition on the part of the penitent. Beginning in the early 14th century, the popularity of the seven deadly sins as a theme among European artists of the time eventually helped to ingrain them in many areas of Christian culture and Christian consciousness in general throughout the world. One means of such ingraining was the creation of the mnemonic SALIGIA based on the first letters in Latin of the seven deadly sins: Superbia, Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, Acedia

Those that know anything about the modern day teaching in our churches. Compared to those that broke away (Protestant) from this type of teaching in the medieval times know that they never intended for us to stop calling sin ......sin! Wow what list do you see our church members in? How does each one compare to your strengths and weaknesses. How about that first one....on the list Lust vs Chasity? So just why were they called the :"seven deadly sins" any way.

For a Modern Day Knight to live without chasity, temperance, charity, diligence, forgiveness, kindness and humility is to MOCK the very words of allegiance you gave to the King in the first place. To live in lust, gluttony, greed, idleness, anger , jealousy or pride is to commit TREASON against our King! Which is punishable by death in most kingdoms! He has said that those that refuse to follow Him as their King will be executed right in His presence. He also said that you would be better to take a gouge and remove your eye then to follow your eye "in cyperspace!" He said that it would be better to enter with one eye MEN!

This life is a battle you and I know it....look at this picture...and study the last four things..keep them on your mind and heart at all times. Men we are here to serve "our own" maidens, "sacrifice" for our own "princesses" who are part of the "royal line" if you remember correctly! The feudal times saw the best in men and the worst..choose which King or Baron you will serve ..........There is a price to pay .....for your actions.

Your Home is your Castle

"Men your home is your castle"


Are you the "King" of your Household? You should be the "Knight" serving your King by taking care of your "fair maiden!" Have you become a 21st century captive and just find your self bowing your "Knee" to the television and being disarmed by entertainment and "serfing" in the Tavern of Trash on the Internet.

Living in Europe gives me a great interest in the medieval age. Actually I have always been interested in the Feudal time period and now I have a wonderful excuse to examine it in more detail. According to wikipedia the Knight would take the following type of oaths.

Duties to countrymen and fellow Christians: this contains virtues such as mercy, courage, valor, fairness, protection of the weak and the poor, and in the servant-hood of the knight to his lord. This also brings with it the idea of being willing to give one’s life for another’s; whether he would be giving his life for a poor man or his lord.

Duties to God: this would contain being faithful to God, protecting the innocent, being faithful to the church, being the champion of good against evil, being generous and obeying God above the feudal lord.



Duties to women: this is probably the most familiar aspect of chivalry. This would contain what is often called courtly love, the idea that the knight is to serve a lady, and after her all other ladies. Most especially in this category is a general gentleness and graciousness to all women.

"Modern day Surfs"
Becoming a serf (yes the pun is intended SURFING THE NET makes you a slave to the Baron who has no part in our Kingdom)
A freeman became a serf usually through force or necessity. Sometimes freeholder or allodial owners were intimidated into dependency by the greater physical and legal force of a local baron. Often a few years of crop failure, a war or
brigandage (sounds like brain damage) might leave a person unable to make his own way. In such a case a bargain was struck with their lord (god of this world), which often included protection and in exchange for this protection, service was required either in payment and/or with labor. These bargains were formalized in a ceremony known as "bondage" in which a serf placed his head in the Seigeur's hands (HELLO!), parallel to the ceremony of "homage" where a vassal placed his hands between those of his lord. These oaths bonded the Seigneur to their new serf and outlined the terms of their agreement.

This was the official document that ended the concept of Serfs France Aug 11th, 1789


I suggest one for yourself today! I no longer will be a "surf to the baron" that is trying to destroy you and your family!

Todays date:

I admit I am a sinner.....you know the rest....ask for forgiveness and to be cleansed of all unrighteousnes you will be clean......it is a promise....as they say...JUST DO IT!

In May 1381 the English peasants revolted because of the heavy tax placed upon them by Parliament. Similar occurrences around the same time happened in Germany, northern France, Spain, and Sweden. Although these peasant revolts were often successful, it usually took a long time before legal systems were changed. In France this occurred on August 11, 1789 with the “Decree Abolishing the Feudal System”. This decree abolished the manorial system completely. It included removing the authority manorial courts, outlawing pigeon houses, eliminating and rerouting tithes (set taxes), and it freed those who were enslaved. Fear and hatred of the privileged was the most important idea that emerged as a result of the eventual dismantlement of serfdom. The majority of the population consisted of peasants. This social system was no longer viable. The beginning of the eradication of the feudal system marks an era of rapid change in Europe.

Men it is Feudal (FUTILE) to keep going in the direction of Internet porn...you will pay...judgement is just around the corner and you know it.....no more hiding....run from the Baron and into the King of Kings protection first, pick up your shield of faith, where your helmet of salvation "if you even have one"....and put on the breast plate of righteousness! Fight the good Fight...we are loosing and you know it! No "True Knight" runs from a fight! There should NOT even be a HINT of this stuff in our hearts......

We know that our King does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but our King looks at the heart....

Knightly Virtues

The Seven Knightly Virtues:

Essential elements of today’s code of chivalry


There was no such thing as a “uniform” code of chivalry in the Middle Ages. Many people — from successful knights to contemplative philosophers — compiled lists of virtuous qualities, called the “knightly virtues,” which they felt defined chivalry. No two were exactly the same.
There were, however, several common themes found in these lists of knightly virtues. By combining these, we have created what we consider to be the seven knightly virtues of the modern code of chivalry:


Courage- More than bravado or bluster, today’s knight in shining armor must have the courage of the heart necessary to undertake tasks which are difficult, tedious or unglamorous, and to graciously accept the sacrifices involved.

Justice A knight in shining armor holds him- or herself to the highest standard of behavior, and knows that “fudging” on the little rules weakens the fabric of society for everyone.

Mercy Words and attitudes can be painful weapons in the modern world, which is why a knight in shining armor exercises mercy in his or her dealings with others, creating a sense of peace and community, rather than engendering hostility and antagonism.

Generosity Sharing what’s valuable in life means not just giving away material goods, but also time, attention, wisdom and energy — the things that create a strong, rich and diverse community.

Faith In the code of chivalry, “faith” means trust and integrity, and a knight in shining armor is always faithful to his or her promises, no matter how big or small they may be.

Nobility Although this word is sometimes confused with “entitlement” or “snobbishness,” in the code of chivalry it conveys the importance of upholding one’s convictions at all times, especially when no one else is watching.

Hope More than just a safety net in times of tragedy, hope is present every day in a modern knight’s positive outlook and cheerful demeanor — the shining armor that shields him or her, and inspires people all around.



Each of these concepts is important in itself, and every one of these virtues is an admirable quality, but when all of them blend together in one person, we discover the value, and power, of chivalry today. Modern-day knights should strive to keep these virtues alive in their own hearts, but, perhaps more importantly, they should work to bring these wonderful qualities out in the people they see every day — at home, in the office, at school or on the street corner. A person who lives by the code of chivalry in today’s world allows everyone to see their best qualities reflected in his or her shining armor.

As far a the dark side....of the Cyber Space....the "Knights amid Evil" are engaged in a battle that is raging according to (www.familysafemedia.com/pornography_statistics.html) Instead of living by a set of standards men are now falling on the sword of Pornography. In America alone over 12 BILLION dollars a year are made on revenue from this enemy. Did you realize that is more than the professional football, baseball, and basketball franchises combined!

Men why aren't you wearing your Armor anymore, what got in your minds....those that are "Born Again" do not need to be looking at porn again! Beg the King for mercy and pick up your armor and get back in the fight you are on the ground belly up....the next strike from the enemy might be fatal.

Men the best thing I can suggest to you if you are caught up in Porn on the Net is STOP....Don't go there....it is a wasteland of nothingness and their is HELL to pay for those that fall in this CYPERCESSPOOL....you know it and I know it.....a man's heart is bent towards evil! Be different, live for our King, ride that dark horse....fly that banner of righteousness....fight the good fight.

Becoming a Knight

A squire could hope to become a knight when he had learned his lessons well. Once the squire had established sufficient mastery of the required skills, he was dubbed a knight. In the early period, the procedure began with the squire praying into the night, known as the vigil. He was then bathed, and in the morning he was dressed in a white shirt, gold tunic, and purple cloak, and he was knighted by his king or lord. As the Middle Ages progressed, the process changed. The squire was made to vow that he would obey the regulations of chivalry and never flee from battle. A squire could also be knighted on the battlefield, in case which a lord simply performed the accolade: i.e., tapped him on the shoulder with the flat of his sword blade, saying “Be thou a knight”.

Most of us are just squires but let us strive to put on that white shirt, that gold tunic, and purple cloak. Let us pray into the night, men pray with your family, pray with your children. You are the head of household. You must be the protector of you families. But first let us clean our own hearts before our King. Let us strive to establish sufficient mastery over our required skills. Our families don't us to give them trouble....they need us to save them from trouble. Put on the armor and do the things required. Remember fight the good fight.

In the Mideviel days

This web site is for all who would stand against evil of the day. The Lord has recently put a fire in my spirit to become a "Knight in Shining Armor" to my precious wife Karla of 21 years and to my beautiful daughter Katie. This web page was created for the purpose of standing against that which my King stands against and standing for that which my King stands for......My King is for the family, my King is for the sanctity of marriage...My King is worthy!




Courage, Justice, Mercy, Generosity, Faith, Nobility and Hope made up the Knight that served his King during the middle ages. This blog is dedicated to those men that will once again pick up the passion that these men had to protect and serve those who were entrusted under their care. We live in a part of Europe that is rich with the flavor that these men left behind. I have decided to begin studying what these Knights in Shining armor were all about. How they became Knights how they served the church of the day and how they served their King. I will concentrate on that to which they aspired not to that which they failed. We are in need of men these days that will stand for that which is right and against that which is evil. I pray that the Lord will stir the hearts of men with that which will be posted on this blog.

I have started down this path with my sons and I am using this blog as a tool to press outward into these "dark ages" and also to hold myself accountable to them...to remain faithful to the wife God gave me and the role a father has in his home. I pray the Lord will return our hearts to that of chivalry and to honor as men....and that my boys will be found as men of integrity in this world. I dedicate this to them...Matthew, Robert and Andrew sons in which I love and wish to inspire with my life.

I will be looking very closely at the middle ages as they fascinate me, I have always wanted to be like those guys......"Knights in Shining Armor" Pray the Lord will show me mercy and give me that which I plead....I want my family protected from all the evil that abounds..as any man knows his own heart is bent towards evil...may this stir the hearts of men to stay away from evil and pursue our King with a passion and sacrifice that defies this dreadful world and will put fear in the hearts of our invisible enemy the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy!

I pray that a passion to serve the King will radiate throughout cyberspace and that men would pick up their shields and swords and fight the enemy on his turf....the take the Battle to him draw new strength....find hope in this battle.....you must win.... or die trying!

As Teddy Roosevelt once wrote;

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly.....who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at worst, if he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who have never known neither victory nor defeat.

Will you join me and bring back the days when Chivalry was honored...men many of our woman are much like "damsels in distress", waiting for the day when the man they married, the man they promised to love stops loving this world and begins loving and cherishing the one that God gave them. This battle begins with your marriage it begins with your children, the first battle will be right in your own heart and mind.....

I won't mention that I recently read a statistic about how many men are hooked on the dark side of the internet...you must find the courage to STOP, retreat if you have to....but don't fall by this sword men ....it is lethal and will detroy you first and your family second.
